Explore your patterns. See your growth.

Coming soon

Do you ever forget all the great things you've done? Or feel like you aren't doing enough?

Journalling is a great way to reflect and remember. But even if we write things down, it's still easy to forget all the progress you've made.

This upcoming feature is designed to help you notice your patterns, without needing to spend hours reading your past journals.

It will help you remember what you've been writing about, the highs, the lows, and moments of insight. It will help you see the progress you are making that isn't always obvious day-to-day.

Privacy policy. Your thoughts stay yours.

We know that journals can be deeply personal. While most apps hide their privacy policy, we're making ours front and centre:

  • Your journal lives on your device
  • We do not access, read or store your journal entries on our servers
  • When AI is used, it's only to support reflection
  • No advertising or tracking scripts

About Fern

Fern journal was designed and created by Katrina Watson, a neurodivergent, overthinking professional who struggled with consistently journalling for a long time. She tried regular journalling apps, but found that none quite worked how she wanted them to be or were either too simple or too complex.

Eventually in 2025 after seeing the benefits of regular journalling, she decided to build something and has been journalling ever since.
